Dear Visitor,
Welcome to our homepage! Please allow us to show you round the Harmónia Residential Care Village for the Elderly!!
The Village for the Elderly has been serving the needs of the old, infirm and disabled for several years.
In fact, the concept behind the Village for the Elderly is a system commonly applied in several European countries,
for instance in Austria and Holland. This system is based not only on the construction of homes for the elderly but also
on the creation and provision of broad-based, 21st-century infrastructure necessary to ensure the full-value physical
and intellectual life of residents irrespective of age.
The comprehensive social infrastructure offered by the Village for the Elderly includes medical surgeries,
physicotherapy rooms, gymnasiums, chapels, occupational rooms, a swimming pool, library with Internet connection,
restaurants, buffet, confectionery, Animal Park etc. The standard of the complex is further enhanced by the landscaped
gardens, hobby allotments, fountains, paths and rest areas established in the beautifully designed and tended park. Exhibitions,
cultural programmes and excursions are regularly organized. Extreme care and effort is taken in the staff selection procedure.
A friendly and cheerful attitude, respect towards the elderly residents, and a constant willingness to help are all considered
basic attributes required of all staff members. The houses are model institutions offering a new approach to residential care.
The elderly and pensioners are welcome to move here, without any restriction on age. One method of taking up residence is for
the new member to pay a one-off contribution on his or her chosen flat. This payment provides the resident with exclusive
usufruct on the flat until the end of his/her life, although it is not possible to bequeath the property title. For
those residents moving in without payment of the one-off contribution, the monthly personal fee corresponds to the
institutional fee.
The Village for the Elderly offers a range of residential solutions:
- Harmónia (Harmony) House and Szivárvány (Rainbow) house
primarily recommended for those who prefer a more organized lifestyle or enhanced comfort, and those with restricted mobility who find movement difficult.
- Dália (Dahlia) House and Borostyán (Iwy) House
offer residents a freer, more independent lifestyle; they enjoy more freedom and the ability to organize their own lives. Flats are independent of each other i.e. each one is a self-contained small home.
- Nefelejcs (Forget-Me-Not) House provides specialist care for psychiatric patients, the disabled, the elderly with dementia, as well as those suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
